Turkey is an intriguing place to spend your next holiday. Antiquity in Turkey exists right next to modern cities and sights. Natural sites vie with modern cities as the focus of a tourist’s attentions. Turkey is a country that is both part of Europe and Asia. It is the cradle of one of the world’s earliest civilizations. Any tourist will be thrilled with the fabulous restaurants and cuisine of this country as well as the night life in the larger cities. Outdoor activities include yachting, ballooning, paragliding and diving! Turkey is bordered by sea on three sides and the coastline is 6,500 km long!

Turkey is at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and is a country of many cultural influences. It has been settled, since ancient times, by thirteen different civilizations. This makes for an interesting cultural mix and the contrast of modern life with all of the sites of antiquity. Turkey offers the world a unique mixture of Eastern and Western culture.

A holiday in Turkey is fun at any time of the year but peak months are April through October. The warm, sunny, sandy beaches are one of Turkey’s big draws. But the cuisine of Turkey is undeniably an excellent reason to visit this country as well. Would you like a meze style meal of small plates, accompanied by one of Turkey’s superb red or white wines and followed by a scrumptious dessert? The cuisine of Turkey is varied and exhibits the influence of all of the cultures that have lived in Turkey. One must visit Turkey to appreciate the distinctive tastes of Turkey!

Any tourist who thinks that they will only find Muslim archaeological sites will be surprised to discover that Turkey is also well known for its Christian history. Visitors can follow in the steps of St. Paul, the early saint who was born in Tarsus. Each one of Turkey’s many regions offers museums and historical sites for visitors on holiday. In the area of the Aegean you can visit the Archaeological Museum near Konak Square. Its statues of Poseidon and Demeter once stood in the Agora. In Gaziantep, in southeastern Turkey, you might spend an afternoon at the Archaeology Museum that is home to artifacts from Neolithic, Hittite and Roman times.

A holiday in Turkey will never be forgotten. Feast on the sights, sounds and tastes of Turkey, a country that spans two continents and thousands of years of history!

If you are raising either chickens or turkeys the next logical step would be to raise the turkeys and chickens together but is that a good idea or a bad one?

If you are raising either chickens or turkeys the next logical step would be to raise the turkeys and chickens together but is that a good idea or a bad one?

Raising turkeys and chickens together is not a good idea but it can be done with a little bit more work.

Why can’t you raise turkeys and chickens together?

Turkey care is not quite as easy as hatching turkey eggs and watching them grow although it can be very easy. There are some things that need to be considered when raising turkeys and chickens together.

The biggest and most important reason that it is a bad idea is because of diseases. Chickens are immune to some diseases that the turkeys can get that would be life threatening to them. Chickens also happen to be carriers of these diseases. If you keep both your turkeys and chickens together then you have a good chance that all of your turkeys will get sick and pass away. That will make it very hard for turkey breeding.

Another reason you should not consider raising turkeys and chickens together is because they require different nutrition in their diets. If you put them both together then it is going to be really hard for you to regulate their diets.

Without proper nutrition you will end up with both of your chickens and turkeys being unhealthy and having problems.

The third reason and not nearly as important is that the general nature of chickens and turkeys do not match so you might end up with all out war between the two.

So how can you raise both turkeys and chickens together?

If you have enough room to raise both chickens and turkeys then you can keep them both in their own separate places. Make sure though that there is some distance between the two areas so that you do not have the problem of diseases spreading.

By keeping them in their own separate spots you can have the benefits of raising both chickens and turkeys without having to worry about them harming each other.

Regardless of whether you are looking to go full blown into turkey farming or are just looking into more information on turkey care so that you are able to raise a few turkeys the most important thing you are able to do is learn as much as you are able to regarding raising turkeys before you begin your new adventure.

One of the main reasons people do not raise their own turkeys is because they think it will be difficult but once the turkeys become a few months old it is fairly simple. The biggest part of raising turkeys is for the first few month because you have to make sure that the turkeys are kept warm enough and are getting enough nutrition to survive.

People are often discouraged from raising turkeys because they fear it will be to hard but the truth is after the turkeys are a few months old it is quite easy. The biggest part of raising turkeys is for the first few month because you have to make sure that the turkeys are kept warm enough and are getting enough nutrition to survive. This can be avoided by buying turkeys that are a little bit older but if you want to raise turkeys with little start up costs it is recommended that you buy either eggs or newborn turkeys because they are very cheap to get.

There are a lot of different reasons to consider raising turkeys and here are three of them.

1. Keeping turkeys as a source of food and extra income

Turkey is not just for the holidays anymore it is eaten in many forms throughout the year. It makes a wonderful thin sliced lunch meat, can be used in place of roasts, and makes a healthy ground meat.

Turkey that you have raised can also be sold for a profit if you are doing a decent amount of turkey farming.

2. Raising turkeys for pets

Another reason for raising turkeys is to keep them as pets. Some folks raise turkeys for both food and to keep as pets.

While their are many different breeds of turkeys the two main ones are domestic and wild The wild turkeys are just that, turkeys that live and breed out in the wild Wild turkeys have the ability to fly and are said to be smarter then the domestic turkeys. Domestic turkeys are the ones you find on your kitchen table and they are not able to fly. The domestic turkeys and wild turkeys are physically different and taste completely different also

3. Raising turkeys to help control pests and bugs

Turkeys have an incredible varied diet which consists of grass seeds, berries, leaves, and a whole lot of insects including mosquito’s, flies and ticks among others. This makes turkeys great as a means of pest control and it also makes feeding turkeys easier then ever.

Raising turkeys can be a fun and profitable experience if you learn how to do it correct the first time. Feeding turkeys correctly is also a big factor in turkey care but the benefits of turkey farming will be worth taking the time to learn how.

Dalaman is a district located on the south-west coast of Turkey. You can travel to Dalaman from most UK’s airports; when you arrive why not experience some of Dalaman’s best bits.

Explore the mountains

Take a day excursion and discover the local area in greater detail but don’t limit yourself to the public transport; why not go that extra mile and rent your own car. With your own car you can now take your day trip at your own pace and leisure. Drive to Dalyan; it’s located around 24km from Dalaman. If you’re love animals you will appreciate visiting this town and you might even catch a glimpse of the resident cranes, storks and kingfishers. In fact, the whole town is an environmentally protected area. This is due to the decline in numbers of Loggerhead Turtles; it is hard to see these increasingly rare creatures now as during their critical breeding dates the few remaining migratory beaches are off limits to visitors in order to protect them. If Dalyan is not your thing, drive to Fethiye where you can discover the rock tombs that were carved into the cliff walls. Its marina and waters are also a favourite with scuba divers.

Eating out

When deciding to dine out in Dalaman you will be spoilt for choice. Due to its close proximity to the local waterways the majority of the food served consists of fish, anchovies, sardines and vegetables. Other staple dishes incorporate lamb, chicken, lentils, onions, almonds and yoghurt. There are many other more familiar places to eat suiting all your possible different desires while in the district including fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, KFC and Burger King. If you want to sample traditional food at its best try one of the local restaurants such as Akkaya Garden Restaurant, which provides fresh Turkish home cooked meals as well as dishes from Europe.

Purses and wallets at the ready, we’re going shopping

In Turkey when you go shopping it’s best if you learn how to haggle. Haggling is striking a deal with the seller for lower price for the goods; being able to do so may mean you may be able to walk away with a great bargain. The most appropriate place to haggle is at the local markets that are located in Fethiye, Ortaca, Marmaris, and Koycegiz. On a Tuesday the Fethiye market is open for trading and this is the largest market in Dalaman. All of the markets offer a wide variety of items ranging from small ornaments to hand woven carpets. Another place to find is The Grand Baazar at Dalaman Airport, as this is a great place to purchase any last minute gifts for friends and family. Shops normally open from 8am and close around 10pm.

Treat yourself to some relaxation at a spa hotel

If you’re looking for a therapeutic and relaxing time in Dalaman, why not stay at a luxurious spa hotel? One popular spa hotel is the Therme Maris and is located on Dalaman beach. This spa gives you the chance to buy day passes to use on all or the majority of their treatments that include massages, manicures and pedicures; as well as access to the gym, sauna, pool, Jacuzzi and mud bath.

Take to the water

ldeniz is not only a resort village, it also has one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in Dalaman, which is also said to be the most photographed beach in the Mediterranean. While you are there you could take diving lessons, go para-sailing, canoeing or scuba diving. Patara, Icmeler, Caliz and Olu Deniz are also other beautiful beaches nearby you could visit during your holiday. If you are on holiday with children, try visiting the local water parks; AquaDream Water and ParkAtlantis Water Park, for some good clean fun.

Wondering what to do in Dalaman? Jack Walker’s fantastic guide explains all you need to know.

Turkey stands out as the latest property investor's destination. Low prices, possible inclusion in the EU and a powerful economy make it among the best property investment areas right now.

Turkey stands out as the latest property investor’s destination. Low prices, possible inclusion in the EU and a powerful economy make it among the best property investment areas right now.

Turkey has spectacular beaches and a climate that far outshines many of Europe’s most popular holiday attractions. Property costs in Turkey are extremely competitive and all sorts of signs display that Turkish property will value rapidly with the introduction of more flights, mortgage loans in addition to a far more mature EU program. Property in Turkey also has an extra attraction to clients: having a huge Turkish human population of about 70 million, there’s substantial interest in property from Turkey therefore the market is not completely reliant on foreign investment. When the Turkish EU application is prosperous then internal demand for high quality holiday accommodation within the best locations is going to be even greater.

This past year alone, property prices went up by about 50%. The additional demand will certainly drive costs even higher in the coming years. Investors who purchase right now can savor the advantage of an investment that will soon rise in value. In recent years, Turkey is becoming a major tourist destination in Europe. With all the fast growth and development of both the winter and summer resorts, more and more people from around the world to take pleasure from its history, culture, and beautiful spots.

Turkey provides visitors a heady mix of European, Arabic and Asian influences. Buyers of investment property in Turkey usually buy into one of the two markets. The great majority buy around the region wherever costs in well-known seaside resorts currently have risen by as much as 52% within the last twelve months. Growing numbers of other canny investors are today looking to the expanding city of Istanbul that is currently enjoying a strong and growing economy, bringing on the arising building boom to supply a substantial need for business and housing properties.

As with many countries today, golf is one of the driving aids within the tourist economy and Turkey makes no exception, offering perfectly charged off-plan choices inside spectacular golf courses. Investors seek to profit from high development figures and dependable buy-to-let rental yields. Turkey presently draws in some 25 million tourists per year, showing a massive demand for guest features and accommodation. Solid rental yields can be acquired by investors who very carefully buy in buy-to-let properties within the hotspot areas along the coastal strips on the Mediterranean Sea such as Bodrum, Izmir, Antalya, Kas and Fetiye which are well served by airports at Antalya, Dalaman and Izmir. Istanbul merely breaks with tradition and beauty, also giving it immense tourist attractiveness and buyers are sensibly snapping up carefully chosen off-plan properties to enhance an increasing marketplace for home and business investments.

Visiting Turkey can be a very exciting trip for you and your family. This is a country that bridges the gap between Eastern and Western civilizations fluidly. Unfortunately, many people do not look into such a trip because they figure it is out of their budget. Finding a cheap holiday in Turkey is possible, if you plan accordingly.

So if you want to go on an international family vacation, here are a few money saving tips. Visiting historical sites can be one of the main reasons for your trip. If so, find lodging that is near the places you want to visit. This will save you money, time and energy. Being close to the places of interest to you will save you the frustration of traveling within the same city.

Make your reservations early. The earlier you plan your trip the more savings you are bound to come across. If you plan your trip last minute you will definitely pay more.

Search for vacation packages at a discounted price. There are a number of websites or travel agents that can assist you in this process. These types of packages can be a good idea if you are going to a foreign country, and do not know the language. They will usually have a number of tourist sites to visit as well as excursions and different activities to partake in at no additional charge.

Traveling in an alternative fashion can save you money. How so? Well, check out your volunteer opportunities. Volunteering can get you to see new places and rack up new life experiences. If you are accustomed to staying at expensive hotels, check out the local lodging options. This can save you money and give you a real experience to recount.

If you are traveling with a group, maybe you can even rent an apartment (for city settings) or a cabin (for country settings). This will be cheaper than renting rooms on an individual basis at a hotel. It will also save you money on food if you are patient enough to make your own! These are just a few tips that will help in finding a cheap holiday in Turkey.

There has never been a better moment to purchase property in Turkey. This country has everything you need for a vacation spot and what better way to enjoy your holiday compared to having your own home to return to every year. The truth is you will probably take several vacations a year because you just have to pay the price of your flight to your destination and with airlines providing amazing discounts you will be able to probably travel at very low cost.

Another good reason to buy property in Turkey is for investment purposes. Turkey is a calm and peaceful country that’s attempting to gain acceptance into the European union. Even though this is a long process, house prices are already beginning to increase in anticipation. By purchasing property in Turkey right now you can acquire a great piece of property at a low price and then be able to sell and generate a significant profit in the future.

Look at a few of the locations where you can purchase property in Turkey. Dalaman is a very famous tourist area in Turkey and it is served by an international airport. The Hilton hotel chain opened a brand new property there during the past year and there is a great golf course in the area. There are numerous different types of properties on the market, such as apartments and villas or you could buy a plot of land and construct your dream home.

Purchasing a property in Turkey is relatively easy and you do not have to get legal representation for the transaction of the deal. You do have to ensure that all of the paperwork is ready, such as the property deeds as well as that the seller is the actual listed owner of the property.

You do not have to take on the work by yourself with real estate businesses specializing in sales of houses as well as property to overseas customers. You can be confident that they will work in your best interests.

If you would like to purchase property in Turkey, we recommend you visit TurkishPropertyShop.com, the best place to find property for sale in Turkey.

Many people seem to be searching for means to get or discover low-cost summer vacations. Should you hang on until the last minute to book or should you book up now and take advantage of the early reservation offers. If anyone could answer that question for certain they should also try and anticipate next week’s lottery numbers. There is no certain answer to that question as it counts partly on currently unknown elements.

Will the conditions this summer be really hot and sunny or will it be just ok with some rainfall. I do not know this and neither does anybody else and this is one of the major factors for holidaymakers who initially have not planned to go away. If the weather is sunny lots of people stay at home and holiday within the UK. If the conditions are terrible then they will all search online for last minute holiday offers.

If the interest is high for late deal holidays then the holiday companies could keep their vacation prices high or in some instances even put the prices up even more. If there is not much interest then the holiday firms will be driven to cut their prices in order to help fill up the unfilled hotels and flight seat they have left.

There are naturally other factors and these also function in the same way. Previously during the Gulf war people did not go to Cyprus as they were concerned that they may be attacked. Even though Cyprus is thousands of miles away from where the fighting was occurring. Because of this there were lots of deals and price cuts for holidays and flights to Cyprus.

Holiday locations such as Turkey are very popular at the moment. Turkey is not currently part of the European Union, which means that the British pound goes a lot further than it would in a destination such as Greece. This has made Turkey a very popular location and has helped it sell very well.

Generally if you are searching for a vacation this summer have a look at the prices and if you think they are acceptable or within your budget range why not book up now. You have the benefit of knowing when and where you are going. If not you can take a chance and book up a late deal and hope it rains this summer.

Thomson Holidays 2010 summer offers are ideal for anyone booking up early.

If you are looking for a great summer holiday, Turkey could be the place to go. The sun is shining and the beaches are great. In the evening you can eat the great Turkey food and then dive into the wild nightlife.

If you just want to relax, you can spend the whole day on the beach. If you want some action, you can try one of the water sports: jet skiing, parasailing or the banana boat. Or you can just play a game of beach volleyball.

You can also have an active holiday with trekking in the mountains. Ravine climbing and mountain climbing are also getting very popular. If you like the water more, you can try rafting or sea kayaking. Diving is also a possibility.

10 % of all tourists in Turkey stays in Alanya. And the reason is probably the great combination of beaches and sights. The most interesting sight is the castle hill 250 meter (820 feet) above the sea. From the top you can see how the hill divides the two beaches. There is also a great view of Alanya and the surrounding country.

The Water Planet Aquapark is one of Turkeys largest water parks; and a great place for kids. Here they can try everything from water slides and rafting to bungee jumping and crazy golf. After some branded goods shopping (both real and fake) in Alanya, you can finish your day in the many discos and bars.

Antalya is not like the other holiday destinations, which has developed from a small fisher village to a holiday destination. With its 500,000 residents you will see more locals than tourists. So a visit to Antalya will give you a better look at the real Turkey.

Because of the size of Antalya you find a lot of shopping centers, shopping streets and bazaars. But the city does also have many interesting sight; especially from the Roman Empire. Most of them are in the old town Kaleici, where you also can see old women preparing the dinner while their men are playing dominoes.

The number one golf destination in Turkey is without doubt Belek. Eight golf courses can be found in the area; and many more are on their way. It can be necessary to book several months before the holiday, if you are going in the high season.

If you do not play golf, Belek is still a great place. Around the city there are great nature and a silence, you cannot find in Alanya or Side. Bird lovers will also find Belek a paradise. And the city does of course also have shopping and water parks.

Kemer is a nice, little holiday village surrounded by the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean. The city has a unique mix of the original Turkey and a modern holiday destination. Here are lively pedestrian streets, an elegant marina and beautiful beach promenades.

Close to the city is the ruins of Phaselis, where Alexander the Great spent his winters; an obvious excursion. In the middle of Kemer is the Moonlight Park; a 55,000 m2 park area with playground and dolphinarium. In the same area there are a lot of restaurants, bars and discos.

Kusadasi is another fishing village which has developed into a holiday destination. The city has a lot of great Turkey restaurants, and while the nightlife is not a wild as in Alanya or Side, there is still a small bar street with discos and bars.

Because of the many cruise ships there is an international feeling in Kusadasi. So you will find a lot of smart cafes and shops with international clothing brands. The cruise ship guests come here to see the famous Efesos (also called Efesus).

Side is probably the most romantic holiday destination in Turkey. In the old town you find many old Roman buildings. And if you walk a little away from the main street, it is possible to find quiet streets with well-preserved wood and stone houses. The city’s theater is certainly also worth a visit. In the old days there were gladiator fights; today you will find more peaceful concerts and theater.

Combine culture with pleasure by visiting one of Sides most popular bars; located among the ruins of two temples from the 2nd century. And spend the day at the beach; either the quit eastern beach or the lively and kid friendly western beach.
