You can ensure your security in South Africa, since they have some of the best private security companies in the world today. Understaffing of the police departments within the country contributes to this need since policing the country is a low government priority. These services are widely recommendable.

Since policing is not a priority, those with something to lose must take things into their own hands, or they will risk losing much of what they own. Criminals will not only rob people on the streets, but they will also break into houses and vehicles if they are not properly monitored. If you currently live in South Africa or will be visiting the region in the near future, it is very important that you invest in the services of a private security firm to protect you and your assets once you arrive.

One thing that many people who are new to the country do not realize is that despite the fact that South African is one of the more developed African nations, it has an extremely high crime rate. This is because there is a great deal of discrepancy between the rich and poor people of the country, so the poor must work incredibly hard to make ends meet.

Some will steal to make ends meet; however, there is also a major problem with violence in the area. The South Africa crime rate is extremely high, although not all crimes are committed by feelings of desperation. With such a high crime rate, you must ensure your protection of life and property while in the country.

Using armed and trained security services while in this country is essential when you consider the violent nature of crimes. Keep in mind, that the crime rates in major cities are even more intense and common.

The number of security members increased in 2010, when South Africa held the World Cup. Although, this event did nothing to increase the public protection by the government many security services increased their staff to accommodate the difference of increasing violence by criminal organizations. Some people brought their own security staff, while others depended on the security services of the country.

The result of this was more security services than needed in the area, which makes the price of securing them less expensive. Ensuring crime prevention and security in South Africa is easier when you research any company you may consider using well before you travel into this area. You can best determine your best choices when you do this.

While there are no guarantees when visiting a foreign country, you can give yourself the best chance of finding a favorable company if you do this research and find out what others are saying about these companies.

If you are planning on visiting Johannesburg, whether it’s for business or whether it’s for pleasure, it’s vital that you plan your trip properly. After all, you’ll want to make the most of it while you’re there, and you certainly won’t want to be leaving knowing that you’ve missed out on many of the best attractions.

Finding suitable accommodation is one of the first things you’ll need to focus on. For example, if you intend visiting several different places in and around Johannesburg, you should ideally try to find accommodation which is quite central. Let’s face it; you don’t want to spend most of your time traveling between one place and the next.

One of the places that you will not want to miss out on is the Apartheid Museum, which is always open except for Mondays, Christmas Day and Good Friday. The hours are generally set to 10am to 5pm so there is plenty of time to see everything that you want to see. You will want to try to make sure that you are arriving a little bit earlier than closing since it takes a while to make it all the way through.

There are guided tours that are available but it is wise to make sure that you are booking this kind of tour in advance because the available spots always fill up fast. Of course, there is a small additional per person cost, but it is only an extra R5 per person. The cost for the regular tour of the Museum is R40 for the adults and for the children, students and pensioners it is only R25 per person.

The Apartheid Museum, outside of Johannesburg, was designed in a way to reflect the experience in South Africa and it was to be centered nicely around gardens. There are a total of twenty-two exhibits to check out. A few of the exhibits are outside so if it is raining, you are going to get a little wet.

All of the exhibits were all created by filmmakers, designers, curators and historians. The exhibit consists of artifacts, film footage, text panels and photographs. Generally, the average person takes about two hours to get through all of the exhibits before they head back to their Johannesburg accommodation.

Of course before you head back to your accommodation, you may want to spend some time at the bookshop and the coffee shop. Not only does this give you a chance to relax for a little while, but is also an ideal opportunity to plan on where about in Johannesburg you intend going next.

One thing is for certain, and that is that there is plenty to do and see in and around Johannesburg. Don’t for a minute think that the Apartheid Museum is the only place of interest in the vicinity; so once again, you need to make sure you arrange for the best possible type of accommodation so that you don’t have difficulty visiting all the other places of interest in the area.

Cherine Hattingh is Manager of Southview Lodge, Luxury Lodge Accommodation located in Johannesburg, South Africa, close to the Apartheid Museum and other interesting attractions. A great deal of money has been invested to ensure that there is a vast selection of fantastic accommodation options available alongside the more modest hotels. You will be guaranteed a great place to stay as you explore this amazing city and everything it has to offer. The ideal time to visit Johannesburg is between June and December, these are the drier months as in winter you may have vast amounts of rainfall.

If you have accommodation in the city centre you will be lucky enough to fully experience the feeling of the nightlife. You will want to explore the thousands of sidewalk venders, which pack the streets at night and will keep you amused as you go exploring.

Johannesburg is home to an amazing amount of buildings and structures that may not be the most expensive or elaborately decorated you have ever seen but each of them tells the interesting story of how the area has progressed and come to be what it is today. When visiting Johannesburg there are definitely a few places you will not want to miss including the national park, the fun theme parks, and the Johannesburg Zoo.

These local city buses will take tourists virtually anywhere they want to go and allow everyone to see all of the fascinating aspects of Johannesburg and its surrounding areas. The local bus service will give you the unique opportunity to appreciate the entire area along with its stunning countryside views.

In September’37, Air Canada commenced with the name of Trans-Canada Airlines. The first 50 minute flight was on a Lockheed L-10A. It flew from Vancouver to Seattle, carrying some mail and only two people. The airline became popular very soon and Trans-Canada Airlines became Canada’s national airline, by the year’64. Around the same time, it was renamed as Air Canada. In the year’89, Air Canada was privatized. Around the same time, the airlines also took over the Canadian Airlines International.

The airline is today more than 70 years and is largest airline providing passenger service in Canada. It carries approximately 32 million passengers yearly, to 170 varied destinations worldwide. Air Canada ranked as–th among the different airlines worldwide.

The airline runs on the belief that the journey should be a convenient one for its passengers. This is why Air Canada offers flight passes. The flight passes lets the customers to handle their trip online. The flight passes can be either received through the flight credits purchased in advance, or a by a monthly subscription, which offer you unlimited flights in some fixed sectors.

Air Canada has been ranked as one of the world’s best airlines, and this is based on the feedback provided by the passengers of Air Canada. According to a survey that was conducted, from August 2006 and June 2007, the airlines received the ‘Best Airline in North America’ title. It also received the ‘Airline Industry Achievement Award’, in the year 2007 for achieving the position of a market leader. The airline already won several titles like ‘Best Airline in Canada and North America’, judged by the readers of different travel magazines.

While Air Canada works hard to keep their passengers happy and satisfied, they work just as hard to do their bit for preserving the environment. They have already started this process by spending billions and investing in new aircrafts that are energy efficient. Air Canada has managed to reduce the emission intensity of their flights by 28%. They also have an ambitious target of improving their fuel efficiency by 25% by the year 2020.

Air Canada also has initiated various green in-house and recycling programs. They have joined hands with a fascinating program, known as ‘zerofootprint’. This program lets the customers to willingly counterbalance the carbon emissions caused due to the flights they have taken, by taking part in the reforestation program in the nation.

Even though Air Canada is undoubtedly one of the largest airlines in the world, it still requires the assistance of other airlines, to provide its customers with a well-connected and broad network of worldwide destinations.

The sad truth today is that everyone may require protection from criminals or individuals intent on breaking into your home or business. This is one reason setting up an alarm or security system is becoming so popular. Most people look at them as an investment for the future and they are definitely worth the cost. Along with deterring would be criminals they also help bring down the cost of insurance.

There will be times when you simply cannot be on the premises of your business. When you are away, it is nice to know that everything is secure and safe and the best way to do this is by installing a security system. A good alarm system will protect your property, inventory and equipment as well as give added protection for any employees that may be on the clock.

Alarm and security systems were created to detect unauthorized access to your home or business at which point an attention grabbing alarm will sound and in most cases scare away your intruder In the mean time the alarm will trigger an alert to the monitoring company who will promptly call local police. Your local police officers will then take a look around and determine how much if any real damage has been done, most of the time you will also be notified that there is a problem at your business. It is very helpful to authorities to have a security system that includes cameras for identifying your intruder.

These systems are very affordable now and even though many businesses believe they are expensive to install them. The price of them is worth the knowledge that your business is protected whilst you are not there. The price of security systems has dropped a great deal in the last few years as the demand went up, many alarm companies are offering great deals and offers on their alarms. The monitoring service is well worth the added cost especially if your business is in a remote location.

By paying for alarm systems you will save so much money, by stopping one break in it will pay for itself, in today’s environment is it really worth taking the risk with your business. Your insurance company will also give you cheaper buildings and business insurance if they know you have an up to date security system installed.

Ease of use is also standard with most alarm systems today; they are designed so that you do not have to memorize complicated key sequences. This means staff training will be simple and beneficial at the same time. In addition, these systems generally come with battery backup power, if for any reason your power goes out your business will still be protected. The very moment your system detects a power loss it will immediately go to battery backup so you can be confident that your alarms will always work effectively.

Protecting your business is very important and if you are in any doubt if you should have a security system fitted then think about what you may lose if you don’t. You have worked hard to build your business up and don’t want to let someone steal from you. Having an alarm fitted will mean you can walk away at the end of the day and not be worried.

The world is captivated by the 2010 World Cup in South Africa but something that has divided opinion is the instruments that have all but drowned out the crowds at every stadium. The lengthy horns are selling out at any shop that sells them and the droning noise once unique to South Africa is spreading like wildfire.

Supply and demand theory has dictated that although they are little more than cheap plastic tubes, wider at one end; they are selling at ridiculous prices often making the retailer more than 1000% profit. If you are on the side of the fence that enjoys the noise and appreciates the atmosphere it creates and you don’t want to fork out an arm and a leg for one, there are other ways of replicating the noise.

If you are feeling creative, you just as easily make your own with a few simple household items at a fraction of the price. One of the cheapest options is to gather up around 10 toilet roll tubes, an A4 sheet of thin card, some tin foil and plenty of duct tape.

Slice each of the tubes lengthways and roll the first one in a thin conical shape with the smallest end around half the original circumference and secure with a strip of duct tape. Do this with each tube gradually getting wider each time and attach them all together to they make long tapered conical tube, similar to the shape of the horn, funnily enough. With the A4 sheet of card, fold it in on itself to create a large cone with an angle of around 45 degrees or more, cut out the centre to match then widest end of the toilet roll tubes. Secure to the tubes with tape and you’re good to go. You can protect your instrument from the elements with more duct tape, tin foil or anything else lying around the house.

If you don’t want to attract attention by carrying around something so annoying, there is another way of making the noise; you will need a balloon and some hex nuts. Place several small hex nuts inside a balloon and blow it up to a decent size, tie off the end and begin to move the balloon in a circular motion to spin the nuts. The contact between the metal and the rubber will create a similar noise to the drone of the stadium but when everyone turns around to see who to punch, you look innocent!

There is no control over the production of Vuvuzelas and building your own wont infringe any copyrights, not quite the case if you try to sell knock off Umbro Speciali boots or fake Liverpool Football Shirts.

South Africa’s largest domestic and international airline, South African Airways, was established in’34. SAA was created as one of the first national airlines on Earth. SAA has its main, modern hubs in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Transnet, a public transport company, is the owner of SAA. More than 2% of SAA’s stocks are held by its nearly 9,000 employees.

It serves 31 cities in 25 countries, carrying more than 7 million passengers per year. Recently a member of the exclusive Star Alliance, the connection vastly extended the number of destinations SAA flies to. Skytrax, the British experts on aviation ratings, declares SAA one of the best international airlines in terms of products offered and service standards. Employees receive intensive advanced training programs to help SAA maintain its reputation for excellent customer service.

SAA is a leader in the airline industry. They are called so because of their consistent ranking as number one in terms of performance, revenue, safety and many other categories. It is also called as Suid-Afrikaanse Lugdiens by Afrikaans.

The first cities served in’34 were Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. Flights to Kenya, Uganda and British East Africa signaled SAA’s entrance into the international market. The airline was essentially shut down during WWII, but in’45, SAA achieved a long-time goal by opening its route to Europe with its first flight to Bournemouth.

SAA introduced the Boeing 707 to its fleet in the’50’s jet age. SAA was the first airline other than the UK to operate a pure jetliner flight. SAA jets started flying non-stop to the UK and other European cities only two years later. The airline began flights to New York in’69. Now the fleet of SAA includes some 50 aircraft.

SAA’s loyalty program, Voyager, has nearly 2 million members. Members can earn airmiles on SAA as well as for flights with their partner airlines and Star Alliance members. SAA backs up its commitment to customer service by investing millions each year on in-flight entertainment. Passengers may choose from more than a dozen movie channels, video games, music and travel information.

They can also enjoy the Boabab Lounge at Johannesburg, which offers workstations complete with computers, faxes and printers. SAAs Cyclad Premium Lounge in Johannesburg was voted the third best in the world in a Skytrax survey in 2002.Business and first-class passengers are pampered even more. Business class offers the best business flat bed seats in the industry, according to Skytrax.

South African Airways offers lots of great features in their first class cabins. The beds could well be the widest in the industy, being 29 inches wide. They lie flat at’0 degress. Each seat has an ottoman that can be controlled electronically. There are also big, private televisions with on-demand audio and video. So kick back in those comfy seats and enjoy a show!

Business class travelers enjoy most comforts during their travel. Starting from the fully adjustable seats with an adjustable headrest and pneumatic lumbar support to the large private television screens with the audio-video-on-demand.

South African Airways travelers who fly economy have available to them private televisions including audio-visual-on-demand and they are treated to a choice of two savory meals which are enhanced with a selection of South African Wines.

With the largest maintenance facility in Africa at Johannesburg, safety is a priority for SAA. The airline handles its own maintenance while offering maintenance services to British Airways and Air France.

South Africa is a country which has a lot to offer visitors. With some of the world’s most striking natural beauty right alongside of manmade luxury, it’s a country which truly does offer something for everyone.

South Africa is flanked by the Indian and the Atlantic Ocean to its south which give it a massive coast line of 2,798 kilometers. Long expanses of sandy beaches beckon to you from South African shores as the azure water twinkles.

The country has a surprising variety of terrain for an area of its size, offering deserts, mountains, coastal plain and lush greenery. This varied landscape makes the country home to an enormous amount of flora and fauna; and South Africa has many national parks which are must-visit destinations for any traveler hoping to get a glimpse of Africa’s natural beauty.

The country offers a heady combination of a first world and a third world country along with unique and awe inspiring landscapes, stunning natural scenery and a peaceful environment.

Here, you’ll find shopping and accommodations which rank among the world’s finest as well as a welcoming culture known for its hospitality. It’s a country where visitors have a lot of options; both for luxury accommodation and places to see. You could choose from five star hotels in the cities and along the coast or you could opt for lodge accommodation located close to the beauty of the country’s national parks.

While many may think of lodge accommodation as something which is lacking in comfort, it’s not at all the case. There are quite a few South African lodges which fall squarely into the category of luxury accommodation and include all of the comforts you’d expect from a hotel. Many tourists decide for luxury accommodation when visiting the country since many of these lodgings are mere blocks from many of the country’s most popular attractions.

However, a lot of visitors to the country do choose traditional luxury accommodation as they can often be found a very short walk away from South Africa’s most popular tourist sites.

Located near the beautiful coastline of the cape, some of South Africa’s best known vineyards and of course, the Table Mountains, there’s a lot to see here in the Western Cape.

Another place which you must see on your visit is The Garden Route, a region along the coast which delights the senses with forests, lakes, rivers, sand dunes, marsh and mountains all in one relatively small area. The variety of landscapes as well as plant and animal life you’ll see here is unmatched by any other place in the world.

The Garden Route is another area that enchants most visitors, the area is a coastal corridor with a myriad of dunes, wetlands, ancient rivers, forests, indigenous fynbos, lakes and vast stretches of mountains. This strip of land although small, will stun your senses with its unparalleled beauty and fabulous flora and fauna. The area has three of the most famous hiking trails in the country and even if you are not keen on walking, you should consider these trails to experience some of the most picturesque and scenic pockets of the country. You can find a host of luxury accommodation facilities in all these provinces.

South Africa is a place like no other and if you have not yet experienced the sights, sounds, culture and cuisine of the country, you are missing out on a thrilling experience, so get ready to head to South Africa for your next vacation.
