The Italian gold industry is one of the largest gold industries in the world. The vast size of Italian gold industry can be approximated as nearly 500 tons of fine gold alone are made in one year. More than 10,000 corporations make up the gold industry, providing employment for almost 40,000 people.

The majority of the Italian gold sector is concentrated in five areas of Italy, making these places well-known specifically for gold. These areas include Veneto, Tuscany, Piedmont, Lombardy as well as Campania.

The world is aware of Italy as a country that has contributed to the making of high quality gold jewelry for many years in Europe. The Italian jewelry has quality gold content, pleasing and attractive designs and craftsmanship that is difficult to match. This enables the production of perfect jewelry.

Many people in the world love Italian jewelry although Italy has dropped from being the number one manufacturer of gold products. Countries like China, Turkey and India closely follow Italy in the production of gold products.

In Italy mostly 18 carat gold is used, but other greater gold carats are used too. Also various colors of gold are used including the usual white and yellow as well as two toned and three toned gold.

Italy is known for producing numerous types of jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, rings, anklets, bangles, brooches and charms. However, Italy also makes religious jewelry that is appropriate for many religious denominations. These types of jewelry include items such as Christian roses, saint medallions, gold crosses, catholic crucifixes as well as Celtic jewelry among other types of religious jewelry.

As the prices of gold rise day by day, it is affecting everyone. The Italian gold craftsmen have cleverly started making sizable pieces of jewelry containing less gold in weight and it is the latest trend in town and so are the “Y” shaped necklaces. Rings are becoming bolder and distinctive with a group of precious/semi precious stones.

The good thing about Italian jewelry is that it is available for all budget limits. You can look for items with respect to their designs as well as according to their price limits. Purchasing gold jewelry was never easy nor that fun!!!

The people of Italy are happy with their gold industry and they have several Designer Institutions for the purpose of teaching goldsmiths. The institutions offer students understanding that spans over many centuries regarding processing jewelry. The institutions also teach students on the new methods of making jewelry. One of the common events in Italy is the gold festival that features the most recent trends and products in jewelry. Italian gold lovers view the event as a must-attend!

Looking beautiful is something that women have always wanted for long. They have sought beauty by putting on cosmetics, jewelry, various designs of clothing and other things. You can make a statement about yourself by wearing jewelry that suits your preferences.

Some jewelry items take preference over others and an example is earrings. Italian gold earrings in particular have come to be very popularworldwide and the following is the reason why people love them a lot.

Gold has been a favorite metal in Italy for thousands of years. Italians began processing gold jewelry in the Tuscany area nearly 3000 years ago and this still goes on today.

Over the years the crafty goldsmiths of Italy perfected their art and finally succeeded in producing breathtakingly exquisite jewelry with amazing craftsmanship and fine gold quality. And so, it has remained the same.

Italy now proudly processes and uses 500 tons of fine gold each year. It provides employment for over 40,000 people in the gold sector where nearly 10,000 related companies work.

The gold content most commonly used in Italy is that with 18 carats. Carats are the units that express the amount of gold contained in an alloy. The reason why people use gold in alloy form is that pure gold has no strength and breaks easily. It is essential to mix gold chemically with base metals like copper, silver, nickel and others to create alloys. Pure gold is usually 24 carats.

Earrings are a kind of jewelry worn in the ear. Mostly they are worn in the ear lobe, the lower part of the ear, but they can be worn in many different parts of the ear, especially in the cartilage area. Usually women wear earrings but these days an increased number of men also proudly wear them. Nine is the highest number any one can safely pierce his/her ears.

In Italy, 18 carats is the gold standard. Earrings in Italy are predominantly produced in 14 and 18 carats. They are more durable and need less maintenance. Their prices depend on their design, their size and their gold content in carats.

Earrings are of many types and they have various styles. The styles that you can opt for include stud earrings that have a stick-like pattern at their backs that cannot be seen and the earrings pass through a person’s ear lobe. Hoop earrings are available and they are usually round in shape. Some hoop earrings alternately have square shapes and the earrings pass through the earlobe’s top part. The other design of earring that can be purchased is the dangling earring, which hangs down from a person’s earlobe to alternative lengths. You can find dangling earrings that are long enough to touch the shoulders. The other design is huggy earrings, which are simple and hang close to the earlobe. Chandelier earrings have the shape of a chandelier and they are available in lots of lengths.

Tuscany is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Italy. It has all you would expect to offer from an Italian holiday from the food and wine to the culture and history. One of the most fascinating areas is the medieval village of San Gimignano. The village is approximately half way between Florence and Siena built high upon a hill overlooking the whole of the beautiful Elsa Valley that surrounds the walls of the village. From the towers in the village you can see a full 360 degrees around and on a clear day you can see all the way to the larger cities of Florence and Siena.

In medieval times the city grew larger as people used it as a stop off point on pilgrimages from Canterbury to Rome. They used it as a trading outpost and a resting spot on the way to Rome. The city was apparently named after the Saint, Geminianus, who saved the city from the attacking Huns in the 5th century.

Being centrally located between Florence and Siena meant that during the 1100’s the city was caught directly in the middle of the feuds between the families of the cities. Despite this the city was still able to trade well in its local resources of wine and saffron. This trade meant the city grew and was able to commission a large amount of public art work in the 1200’s, most of which is still on display in the galleries and museums around the city.

At the height o the cities wealth, the families built over 70 towers as a sign of their wealth and power. Today only 14 remains however this still gives you a feel of what it would have been like to live in the city and old times. You are given small glimpses of the towers and other architecture through the archways and doors dotted throughout the city. The city was given world heritage site status in 1990 by UNESCO. This means that the authorities try to reduce the number of vehicles allowed within the city. In order to get to the city you have to park down the hill and walk up through the main city gates to within the walls.

In the main square you will find the town’s Duomo and the Torre Grossa. If you are scared of heights it is still worth the climb up the Great Tower. The entrance to the tower is located off a small side street next to the museum. The tower itself has been gutted inside and a modern staircase has been fitted which is a little more sturdy but there are a few low points. Once you have ascended the stairs you will be brought out on to the top of the 54m high tower which looks out over the whole of the city and on a clear day, looks out over the whole of Tuscany. You can pick out other local villages and Tuscany villas dotted amongst the hills and groves of Cyprus trees.

A must on a tour of San Gimignano is a stop at one of the world renowned Gelaterias, ice cream shops. The ice cream is produced from local fresh ingredients including some varieties containing the local Vernaccia wine. There are also many different places to stay and eat from full Tuscan feasts through to a small road side vender selling his wares on the corner.

If you are looking for apartments Tuscany then visit Your Way To Tuscany where you can find other Tuscany hotels

Gold is a valuable metal and has always been a symbol of value for people. As it is very soft in its original form, it is used after combining it with another base metal chemically to make an alloy. Generally copper is used as the base metal, but other metals including silver are also used.

Gold alloys are harder and they are valuable because they have gold. For this reason, people have utilized these alloys to make coins for many years. Since the time when making coins became necessary, gold was and is the most often chosen metal for coin producing compared to all other types of metal.

For a long time, Italy was a country that had different ruling bodies because of the various kinds of coins utilized as money in the country. However, the gold coins that were in popular use were the “fiorino d’oro” owned by the republic of Florence. These gold coins were thought to be the initial European coins manufactured and used frequently.

The invention of first gold coin in Italy as historical estimates show was in the year 1252. The gold coin had a 3.5 gram gold concentration approximately. Many other gold coins whose use was common in Italy aside from fiorino d’oro were the scudo d’oro, ducat as well as the sovranos.

Since 1861, Italians started using the Lira as currency. Today, the gold Lira is a collector’s item since Italy started using the Euro as their currency from the year 2000.

People now collect Italian gold coins and they trade them because investors consider these gold coins as safe investments. They consider them low risk because the cost of gold is always rising. The older coins have greater gold contents and they are therefore more expensive than the smaller gold coins. The smaller coins are cheaper.

There are plenty of Italian gold coins for sale even now. The average prices of the gold coins pre-dating the 1900’s can be safely estimated at over 2000 Euros, while those after 1900s have an average cost of 1500 Euros.

Italian craftsmen of gold duplicate gold coins and make jewelry artistically and efficiently. They fuse style with the heritage and qualities that have been around long in their heritage. It is now possible to find gold coin cufflinks, necklaces, earrings, pendants, tiepins and bracelets.

The items produced from gold coins have a starting price of 200 dollars and the price gets higher than that if they contain more gold and if they have better designs. The items are beautiful and they are a good for reminding people about Italian history.

Sports cars are impressive are they not? But the conception of sports cars for the public has not been around since the start of the modern car industry. In fact, the idea of modern sports cars is quite new. It was the Italian manufacturer, Enzo Ferrari, who thought of the idea and produced the first sports car for the public in 1929.

Enzo Ferrari was the trail-blazer of the modern sports car sector, but it soon caught on as rich men all around the world wanted to own a special, speedy car, to set himself above the general public, who still cannot afford new modern sports cars.

Ferrari’s modern sports cars are famous all around the world. People are spellbound by the designs of Ferrari’s sports cars and racing cars. Ferrari has been in Formula One racing since it started and they are the most popular racing team of all time. The Ferrari team has included such celebrated names as Michael Schumacher and Alberto Ascai, who rapidly became popular heroes.

The flagship of the Ferrari sports cars is the F430, which is a two-seater coupe. It is continuously being improved and re-engineered. In fact, it has recently undergone a major revamp and now it is the most sought after modern sports car of the year. It is not only exceptionally beautiful, but it has great performance statistics as well. The price tag is very affordable for a car of this class. However, at $160,000 plus, most people could not afford a new set of tyres for it.

The latest Ferrari is the Superamerica hardtop convertible, which sells for $300,000. It became instantly sought after when it appeared in Ferrari showrooms across America. It has a fearsomely powerful V12 engine, which produces unbelievable performance. The engine is based on their Formula One racing cars and comes with gear changing paddles on the steering wheel.

The roof of the Superamerica is beautiful and pragmatic. It is made from electro chromic glass and carbon fibre and can be removed to convert the Superamerica from a smart coupe into a chic open top sports car in a matter of minutes. The drop-top Superamerica is one of the most beautiful modern sports cars on the planet.

Ferrari acquired another leading sports car company, Maserati, in 1997. Since then Maserati’s output from their production lines and the popularity of its cars has grown rapidly. The public just cannot get enough of Maserati’s modern sports cars like the Quattroporte at $95,000 and the Spyder GT drop-top, which costs a very affordable $83,000.

There are other producers of modern sports cars such as Dodge with it’s Viper, Chevrolet with its Corvette, Lamborghini and the Murcielago and Porche with its Boxter and $440,000 Carrera.

If you cannot afford any of these modern sports cars, you could buy a kit car. With a kit car you can remove the shell of a fairly cheap sports car, like a Boxter, and substitute it with an exact replica body of say a Lamborghini Murcielago in fibre glass.

Owen Jones, the writer of this piece writes on quite a lot of topics, but is at present involved with the Lambo Kit Car. If you would like to know more or check out some great offers, please go to our website at Lambo Kit Car.

One thing common with Italian wines, be they white or red wines, is the fact that they have a taste that puts them in a class of their own. This can be attributed to the superior quality of the grapes from the Italian region. They also blend well with each other.

The price of wine from Italy will always depend on how good the wine is. The higher the quality, the more expensive the wine will sell. These generally have a longer maturing time.

Different grape growing areas in Italy produce wines with different tastes but each tastes good. The fact that you can blend these grapes in to one tasty mix makes Italian wine stand out from the rest. You are able to serve different wine to suit different occasions.

White wine is ideal for taking when relaxing with a couple of friends. You do not need to be eating a meal for you to enjoy Italian white wine. Red wine is harder than this.

So which are the most popular wines in Italy? Each blend or aroma has its own popular wine. There are those that will bring out a peach, pear or flowery aroma. Tocai can give you all these aromas and it will retail at about twenty bucks making it affordable and popular fir its benefits. Verdicchio grapes are also good for wine.

Another time-tested wine is Frascati, which is reputed to be of an unique flavor. It is gotten by blending many varieties of grapes, sometimes more than five different ones.

In Italian history, royals always preferred Orvieto Classico wine, which is a blend of select varieties of grapes form around Italy.

This writer also regularly writes on subject like Kate Spade shoes and wine goblets.

When traveling to foreign lands, some tourists like to explore the country on their own, while others prefer to use a tour guide. Florence, Italy, is a wonderful city characterized by artistic and architectural beauty. It is regarded as the only remaining preserved Renaissance city and was previously nominated as the most desirable tourist destination in the world. Guided tours in Florence Italy take visitors to the top historical and artistic destinations.

These tours are very comprehensive and are narrated by professional guides who have a wealth of knowledge about the history of this lovely area. The guides also provide visitors with little-known facts about the areas visited and are able to answer most any question posed by a tourist. These individuals will even help visitors find a nice place to eat lunch and the perfect shops to visit. The most benefit can be gained from the vacation experience when a professional tour guide is used.

A piece of history in its own right, the Uffizi Gallery is visited by at least 1.6 million people each year. This primary museum in Florence has been standing since 1581. Paintings that date as far back as the year 1200 are hung on its walls for all to see. This is no small collection of art, spanning an impressive 45 rooms adorned with statues and paintings. A professional tour guide will convey volumes regarding the biographies of the artists whose works are included.

Michelangelo is the main theme of the Academy Of Fine Arts, built in the year 1563. Once known as the Arts of Drawing Academy and related Company, it holds a small collection of the work from this artist. The famous sculpture, David, has resided at the Academy since the year 1873. The work of other artists such as Ghirlandaio, del Sarto, Uccello, and Botticelli are also showcased. In addition, High Renaissance pieces and paintings of the Florentine Gothic variety can be found.

A tour of the center of town is not complete without discovering hidden portraits of renowned artists. Visitors will see palaces, sculptures, paintings, and frescos and visit the Medieval towers, the Duomo complex, and the rest of the most popular sites. They travel in small groups, with a maximum of 15 people, so there is plenty of opportunity to stop and gaze at the magnificent architecture and ask questions.

Guided tours in Florence Italy make the traveling experience to this magnificent city complete. Professional guides take groups to places such as the Academy of Fine Arts, Uffizi Gallery, and city center. There they will look upon the artistic masterpieces that made this city a premier tourist destination.

Pure gold is very soft and it is impossible to make jewelry when gold is in that state. It is essential to combine it with base metals such as copper, silver or other metals to form an alloy. Gold alloys are malleable and have increased strengths. The carat is the unit used to determine the amount of gold in an alloy. Italians generally use alloys containing eighteen carats of gold or greater.

Italian past shows that the country has taken part in the making of gold products for around three thousand years. The country has kept the top position as the world’s producer of fine gold jewelry for many years especially in Europe. However, countries like India, Turkey and China are now fiercely competing with Italy in the making of gold jewelry undermining Italy’s position.

Italian craftsmen of gold are innovative and make items that are exquisite and hard to believe. The citizens of Italy take pride in their heritage, qualities and traditions that have been around for long and they train the young generation of their olden day methods and customs. This is the reason why there are many Designer Institutions established to specifically train goldsmiths. Italians also hold wonderful gold promoting fairs often.

The list of Italian gold jewelry items is simply endless. Necklaces, earrings, charm bracelets, anklets as well as even religious jewelry of many kinds.

One piece of jewelry that is ideal for everyone to wear is the gold bracelet and it has a prominent position as opposed to other types of jewelry. This is due to the fact that everyone can wear a bracelet for any event and it is hence ideal for homemakers, young kids and men. Bracelets are comfortable for everybody to wear.

Italian gold bracelets are of numerous styles and fourteen-carat gold is ideal for making the bracelets as it is more durable. Bracelets must be strong since they are constantly exposed to the environment, the body’s perspiration and damage can happen easily to them for the reason that people wear bracelets on their hands. Gold bracelets come in a variety of colors like yellow, rose gold, white and variations of two or three colors. People can further embellish these bracelets with many types of rare and valuable stones. The following are a number of important forms of gold bracelets.

Among the popular bracelets are chain bracelets and they comprise of ball link bracelets, satin link, multi-stranded, alligator links, rolo links, normal chain link bracelets, modular disk-like bracelets and many alternative forms of chains.

Engraved Bracelets: Gold bracelets which possess a small flat area in the centre to etch some one’s name or message are also very popular.

Gold mesh, Gold trim charm bracelets and bangle bracelets are also favored by everyone. The costs have no doubt increased as the price of gold is rising rapidly, however you still have a huge choice to make depending upon your budget and liking.
