The meaning of intraday trading is fairly self explanatory to begin with, it simply means buying and selling a stock on the same day. The strategy is similar to betting on what’s going to happen to the price of the stock in the next hours, minutes or even seconds. If an intraday trader believes that the price of a stock is going to go up, he will purchase the stock. If he believes that it will fall, he will sell the stock and try to buy it back later at a lower price.

Because many brokers offer the option to trade on margin (using borrowed money) and charge much lower fees for day trades, day trading has become more and more popular in India, particularly among young retail investors. It is however a very high risk pursuit. The use of margin trading and the speed at which trades can be made means that for a day trader massive losses are a real possibility. The flip-side of this, that massive profits are also a possibility, is probably the why it is so popular.

One intraday trading strategy has an extremely short term kind of focus. This occurs when there is multiple buying and selling of the same stock for smaller profits. However, a more popular strategy is when a trader ‘takes a position’ on a stock which means holding it for a longer period without multiple buying selling.

Event trading or trading the news is a strategy that exploits movements in price after new information hits the market. For example, if Reliance Natural Resources announced the discovery of a massive gas field their share price would rise. Event traders would try to quickly predict how much and for how long it would rise and act accordingly.

An interesting strategy called “riding the curve” is also employed by day traders quite often. In this kind of trading, the trader will assume that the current trend that the stock has been on, will continue and he will trade accordingly. This simply means you buy a stock when its rising and sell one which is on its way down.

While talking about riding a trend, we are basically talking about timing the market movements as much as possible. Swing traders are the specialists in this kind of a strategy. A swing trader will try and find those points in the price of a stock when a stock on the rise is about to start falling or a stock that has been falling is about to start rising.

Another strategy of day trading is called trading a range. This is when a trader believes that the price of a particular stock will not breach a certain range. This range has an upper and a lower limit also called resistance and support lines. Basically a trader who follows this strategy will buy a stock when it has reached the lower limit of his range and sell the stock when it hits the price which he believes it will not cross.

Yet another day trading strategy is “short selling”. This is a strategy which can be used in combination with any of the above mentioned ways of trading. This strategy involves the trader trying to profit from a stock on the way down. Here the trader will borrow the shares from his broker and sell them immediately and hopes that the price will continue to fall so that he may buy them back at a lower price and return them to his broker. Short selling or “shorting a stock” is fairly controversial and it is a practice highly regulated and restricted by SEBI

When one just starts to explore stock markets, his first question is obviously, how to determine which stocks to buy? Moneyvidya can help you in choosing that of course, with day trading tips, positional tips and long term investment picks on BSE as well as NSE.

You always also have this second question in mind. Why there are 2 exchanges in India? Why there are 2 indexes (Sensex & Nifty)? What makes one better than other?.

Let’ see their pros and cons against each other one by one.

1.	What is BSE? – BSE is a very old stock exchange, founded in 1875

2.	What is NSE? – NSE is relatively new to the game, founded in 1994

3.	NSE has a more sophisticated technology, being the newer entrant

4.	BSE has more number of stocks listed (World no – 1, around 8000 companies listed) and more total market cap than NSE.

5.	BSE has to be your exchange of choice if you want to deal a lot in small caps.

6.	Volume of shares (liquidity) is much more on NSE, than BSE.

7. If derivatives is your area of interest, you can’t rely on BSE. Practically, NSE is the only player in derivatives.

8.	BSE has the famous primary index, Sensex, formed by top 30 shares.

9. S&P CNX Nifty, or just Nifty, is the index for NSE. It’s more popular amongst mutual funds etc.

10.	Even though Nifty has more companies than Sensex, their movements are almost always correlated.

11.	Index funds mostly track themselves against Nifty, as NSE has more volumes

12.	Overall, BSE is losing ground. They recently slashed their membership fees to Rs. 10 lakh from 1 crore, in order to gain some ground.

13.	You can use the difference in quotes to buy at one exchange and sell at the other quickly, to make small amounts. This is called “Arbitrage Trading”.

Where should I trade? If you want to play in small cap stocks, BSE offers much more opportunity. Otherwise, generally speaking, if the stock you want is available at NSE, go for NSE. It has better volumes, better technology.

For a retail investor, it does not matter much. In general, the thumb rule for cash segment (regular delivery trades) is you check if the stock is listed at NSE, if yes, buy it on NSE, else buy on BSE. The minor difference in quote won’t matter for most practical purposes. The quote that you see in your trading platform, and the actual price that you get delivery for, might be slightly different, especially for low volume mid cap stocks. What matter more, is what stocks you buy!

Hindi, the native tongue of the people inhabiting the northern and central part of India, belongs to the Indo-Aryan or Indo-European group of languages. Hindi or its dialects are spoken by about 41 percent of the people of the country. An estimated 415 languages are considered to be living languages in India making India the home to a large number of languages. But the vast majority of the people, estimated to be about 74 percent, speak the Indo-Aryan languages while 24 percent speak the Dravidian languages. Another 1.2 percent speaks the Austro-Asiatic (Munda) languages while 0.6 percent the Tibeto-Burman. It is believed that there are still a few languages spoken by people living in parts of the Himalayas which are remaining to be classified.

Hindi is the official language of India besides English. It is also one of the 22 scheduled languages of India. Hindi is also the official language of Fiji where about 48 percent of the people speak various Hindi dialects. Hindi is said to have evolved from Prakrit originating as local dialects such as Awadhi and Braj to finally Khari Boli in the tenth century. Khari Boli, the vernacular of the Delhi region, subsequently evolved into Hindi which is Sanskritised and Urdu which is Persianised. The Persianisation occurred during about a thousand years of rule by the Mughal Rulers who used Persian as their official language. Hindi is also understood by the neighboring countries of Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. It is also found to be spoken by some sections of people in Singapore, South Africa and Uganda. Hindi-Urdu is the second most spoken language in the world after Mandarin (Chinese) with about 429 million native speakers. Hindi in fact includes a broad variety of Hindi languages or dialects like Brij Bhasha, Bundeli, Awadhi, Kannauji, Marwari, Maithili, Magadhi, Bhojpuri and Bihari languages and Khari Boli.

Hindi language has been standardized for teaching in the schools across the country. The English, Persian and Arabic words have been removed from Hindi and the language further Sanskritised to develop and promote the official Hindi by the government. But the Hindi used by the media is more neutralized. The government of India has the official policy of encouraging people to learn to speak Hindi.

Hindi and Urdu were two standardized form of what is actually one language in the early 19th century with Hindi being identified with the Devanagari script while Urdu was identified with the Perso-Arabic script. Devanagari script was originally used to write Sanskrit. It was only later that Hindi and Urdu began to be treated as separate languages.

Language is one of the most significant element of a certain nation. All the struggles, pain, sadness and joys that a nation has experienced and will experience is clearly manifested in a nation’s language.

According to George Orwell there are 11 great rules for making the perfect tea, despite a strong critic of Hitler and Stalin he was known to be quite the authoritarian when it came to how his brew was made. He made it clear that someone shunned the sugar bowl they could not call them self a tea lover.

Along with putting sugar into tea, the author also had no time for scientists. So, ironically, on the 100th anniversary of his birth, the Royal Society of Chemistry decided analyse and scrutinise his 11 point formula, intent on discounting his golden rules.

Chemical engineer at Loughborough University, Dr Andrew Stapley, shattered Orwell’s theory of the cuppa and set about writing new rules for the perfect brew. His first criticism was that of Orwell’s need for six spoons of tea in one pot, even during post-war rationing, this was far too strong; Stapley determined that no more than a single spoon of leaves be used.

Stapley discovered that pouring cold milk into hot tea deformed the curled up protein strands of the milk which changed and arguably ruined the taste; this is the same process that makes UHT milk taste worse than fresh milk. Instead it is better to have the chilled milk already in the cup awaiting the tea allowing it to cool the tea on arrival.

Science also did a good job of dismissing Orwell’s claim that sugar ruined the tea, as a matter of fact it was the opposite, white sugar was proven to moderate the natural astringency of the tea, or simply ‘makes it less bitter’.

The best tea, as determined by the RSC, was brewed with Assam leaves from India, they had the best consistency and the nicest taste compared to all other leading types of leaf. To get the right compromise between heat and brew, the tea and water should be left to brew in the pot for two minutes and NEVER re-heated. Once brewed it should be poured from a ceramic tea pot into a tall mug shaped ceramic cup. If you want to go the extra mile pour the tea over a small teaspoon just above the surface of the milk to avoid it splashing and changing the taste of the milk with heat.

If you wanted to go the extra mile, gently warm the mug with hot water while the tea is brewing avoid pouring tea directly into cold cups and any tea lover would agree that in no circumstances should you use hot paper cups.

Fuelled by the double figure growth of the economy, India is quickly becoming the Consumption Capital of the world. Many instances of excessive lavishness in weddings and everyday life are becoming more and more common even throughout the small villages boarding immense cities such as New Delhi. As land values appreciate farmers are increasingly approached for vast tracks of land turning pauper to prince overnight.

This phenomenon has numerous implications for western producers and luxury industries. This cast of nouveau riche presents many opportunities for all producers who may benefit from this vibrant increase in demand. The next obstacle to this situation becomes the Public Relations for such products. Western producers have little knowledge of ways to spread information to prospective Indian buyers.

Firstly, solutions must have an immense magnitude of reach. Connecting even the small villages to the information they require to desire the effective goods is paramount. This information must also remain in an efficient medium that can be easily transposed into a widely effecting format. A ‘press release’ is most widely received as a transparent solution to this problem.

This can create a large barrier as press release distribution can be very costly. Is this idea moot? No, there is one way, often forgotten in a world of Blackberries and tweets, that is the backbone of communication in the newspaper industry. The fax machine. I know what you’re going to say, “My grandpa had one of those.” Yes, he did, and he used it for a reason. Fax is reliable, hardcopy. Journalists might get thousands of emails a day, but only a few faxes. Faxing your messages makes it appear more important; it conveys and sense of urgency. Simply, the medium your message comes in differentiates from others even in India.

Faxing journalists is admittedly hard. Newspapers don’t often publish their newsroom fax numbers, and it would take forever to find the hundreds of numbers one needs. Plus, most people don’t want to sit in front of a fax machine feeding paper and hitting send over and over.

Yet, there are services, like www.easypr.com, which easily automates this process for you. You just type in your press release or upload it as a Word or PDF, select which cities/countries you want to target and, like magic, you’ve faxed hundreds of newspapers. The newspapers will know the difference between a serious message faxed and junk email. This phenomenon is not different in India.

Want to find out more about faxing your press release, then visit EasyPR’s site on how to choose the best press release distribution package for your needs. A health insurance for visitors from India policy will make sure you are protected financially in the event that you need to seek medical care in the U.S.

Regardless of whether you’re staying in the U.S. for 10 months or 10 days, travel insurance for Indian residents is an essential purchase. The toll of travel makes you more likely to fall ill, and a physical injury could occur any time at any place. To properly treat these problems, you’ll want to be able to see a doctor.

Travel insurance for Indian citizens will make sure that if an injury or illness does occur while visiting the United States, healthcare will be available at an affordable rate. Without health insurance in the United States, a simple visit to the doctor could cost you hundreds of dollars. A more complex medical procedure will cost thousands.

With your travel insurance from India to the USA India policy, those costs will be minimal. Your policy will offer coverage for the vast majority of the expenses, leaving you breathing easier with only a small portion to pay for.

It is easy to figure out how much your travel insurance India will cost. The pricing is based on the total coverage you are seeking, your age, and how long you’re staying in the U.S. As each of those factors increases, the price of your policy does as well.

And don’t be afraid that these policies are too expensive for short-term travelers. When buying travel insurance from India to the USA online, you can customize your coverage length to match that of your stay, so you don’t need to pay for coverage you don’t need.

You can contact local insurance providers to see if they have special insurance policies for Indian citizens visiting the U.S., but you will probably find it is even easier to research and buy your policy online by searching for terms like “travel insurance from India to the U.S.A.” You’ll immediately be able to choose from companies that focus on this type of coverage.

Buying a travel health insurance India policy can save you hundreds and possibly even thousands of dollars in healthcare expenses. Travel with peace of mind by buying travel insurance before you leave for your trip to the U.S.

As we seem ahead for the trends for fashion this spring we can see lots of strange styles. That is if we can see through all of the tights and scarves out there now, we are going to be considering very a mix of types.

Designers are talking about colors from the 60’s, but not pretty as bright as we happen to be seeing them. Take them down a bit, by thinking of the colors just a tiny bit faded or muted. Throw in some khaki, light blues and beige and you’re there.

We are talking a little retro still, with elements with the Jackie-O look forming a lot of with the silhouettes. For the extra informal appears, faded jeans are not proceeding anywhere. You’ll be able to still combination them with embroidered tops, cover them with short skirts, or throw tutu on above them if the mood strikes you.

Males, you need to grab these bell bottom pants your mother and father prefer to say remind them of what they had been wearing, even even though you really do not wish to hear it. Maintain your casual colours faded and gentle, the same as the ladies. Go for any touch of vintage and informal when putting your glimpse together.

For either gender, when the brighter colors on the 70’s don’t thrill you, hey, they didn’t thrill a lot of back again then either, don’t feel terrible, you’ve other choices. Believe in terms of character. The greens observed in all shades, delicate to vibrant, mix in some muted yellows and the even now well-liked orange, which hasn’t and by no means will, substitute pink.

Set these together in gentle, flowing fabrics which are easy to wear and you might be suitable in type. The edges of items shall be smooth, even blurred, with rolled hems and delicate finishes. Materials are crinkled and will save you from having to iron, which can be always a common trend. Appear for cottons, open weaves along with a rustic looks to the clothing.

Jewelry are going to be found in shapes of old Indian or Aztec symbols and styles, large and chunky. Macram is even creating a comeback. No, do not go tying up rope to hang plants with, but you may just desire to type several knots and braids to use around your neck. Jewelry doesn’t get significantly less costly than that.

Homeopathy has been around 200 years and invented by Samuel Hannehman. Homeopathy was introduced in India by Dr. John Martin Honigberger from Transylvania in 1839. He was actually in Lahore to treat the maharaja’s horses who were suffering from leg ulcers. The maharaja was impressed with the results of this type of treatment. Maharaja Ranjit lated asked the homeopath to treat him for paralysis of vocal cords and oedema. The maharaja was quite satisfied with the treatment which cured his paralysis.

Homeopathy continued spreading in India since 1839. Every major city in India has pharmacies dispensing homeopathy medicine. Many states in India also have homeopathy colleges teaching this type of alternative medicine to prospective students. Currently there are 186 homeopathic medical colleges in India. 37 of these colleges are government run. The other colleges are privately run.

The Indian government created the Central Council Of Homeopathy which requires uniform education at the graduate level and diploma level in homeopathy. This has lead to standardized practice in India preventing unqualified homeopaths to prescribe medicine and treatments. Currently, there are over 300,000 homeopathic doctors practicing medicine in India.

Homeopathic medicine is significantly cheaper than conventional drugs. This makes this type of medicine more available to India’s population many of whom do not have access to prescription drugs. Homeopathy is the third most popular medicine in India after allopathy and ayurveda. Approximately, 10% of the population in India uses homeopathy. This makes India the largest consumer of homeopathy medicine in the world.

India has done extensive research on homeopathic medicines. There are 40+ research institutions administering various clinical studies. Most of the research centers are publicly funded.

Homeopathic scientific research has been carried out by Dr. Prasanta Banerji & Dr. Pratip Banerji. They studied homeopathic medicine on brain cancer which was collabrated by University of Texas MD Anderson Center. The trials demonstrated that Ruta 6C and Cal Phos 3X aids in eliminating cancerous brain cells but does not damage normal brain cells.

The Banerji doctors have had great results in treating other type of cancers as well. Their practices will see 1000 people per day. The cancer survival rate is between 30 to 40%.

Indian government views homeopathy as an effective alternative for prescription drugs for certain medical conditions. India is one few countries that has a positive few of homeopathy.

If you ever need to send money to India, you are likely always looking for new pathways to do so. There are of course the usual options that have been used for years, such as financial institutions, money transfer services, and mailing a prepaid debit card. However, now you can also use your phone to send money to India, which is good news if you have family there that needs your assistance financially.

As long as your relatives have Tata Indicom, which is a major cell phone provider in that nation, they can remit and receive money as much as they want. The service is called Green Money Transfer, as no paper is involved. It is all based on technology, and your relatives will just need to sign up for the service before they transfer or accept money.

Once they sign up, they should go to the nearest location to them and get a transfer for up for 5,000 rupees. If you are transferring funds to them, they will simply need a transaction code in order to go to Green Tata PCO location near them to pick up the funds. This is after you have initiated the remittance on your phone. Though the service has few locations right now, look for future expansion, or even other similar servicest that allow transfers from the phone.

If you want to send money to India using a phone but do not have this cell phone provider, there are other options. You can send them a prepaid debit card. Once you select a company from which to get the card, you can send it to your relatives, and then call the company to add funds to the card. If your phone has Internet, you can also log on to add money that way. It will cost your family members less than 50 rupees to use the prepaid debit card at retailers, and about 140 rupees each time they remove funds from an ATM, no matter the amount. Each time you send money to the card, you will be charged a $5 fee, so sending large lump sums is more cost-effective than transferring a little at a time. Either way, this option is often much less expensive than using a financial institution, and it is particularly convenient if your relatives do not belong to a financial institution.

Whatever the reason you have to send money to India, there are numerous methods. Sending money from a phone is just more attractive to most people, and usually the cheapest choice. Whether you decide to use cell phone providers or a prepaid debit card, sending funds to family in India is doable without breaking the bank, or even having an account.
