If you have ever tried to wire funds to China, have you considered which currency your money would arrive in? Most often, no one stops to think about this. Well when sending money to China, despite sending the money in U.S. dollars, by the time the transaction is complete it will be Chinese yuan.

Many money transfer services convert the money for you, but most often the exchange rate is a ripoff with companies like these, and your recipient will receive much less than was originally sent because the company itself determines the rate. The best way to ensure you are getting fair market value is by going through a banks transfer service, which also how downfalls.

If you use a bank to transfer, both parties are required to have an account with that bank. This is so the government can keep an eye on the money moving in and out of the country and to also make sure nothing illegal is going on. So while this system works perfect if both parties live near that bank, what if both live in the United States and the one needing money is on vacation in China where they obviously do not have a bank account?

If you’ve asked yourself these questions have no fear there are other options including telegram-style transfers where the person receiving the money goes to the companies nearest location to get the cash. Although your wallet will be gouged thanks to tilted exchange rates, its still an option to get the money where it needs to be.

Yet another option is an internet transfer service which may take up a bit more time than the previously mentioned services.

Luckily pre-paid credit cards will help you send money faster and even easier in the days to come. You can simply jump online to add money and your recipient in turn runs to a bank to get the cash|collect the money. Although this style of transferring to China still has some kinks to work out, it will someday become the most handy method of wiring money.

For the very best prices and selection of money transfer to China online, there is no better place you will find than Send Money to China This article, What You Need To Know Before You Send Money To China has free reprint rights.

Chinese culture is ancient, with long-standing traditions. The Chinese people frequently interacted with others in ancient times, trading with people the world over and welcoming visitors from other nations to the Emperor’s court. This changed in the early 1400s when China’s policies of open international relations were quashed.

The country isolated itself and its people from the rest of the world. To a large extent, this closed door policy lasted for centuries, only beginning to change in the 1970s when China agreed to begin trading with the Western world again. The long isolationist policy of the Chinese government allowed the Chinese people to maintain a connection with ancient traditions that most other cultures do not come close to having.

The relationship that the present-day Chinese have with their historical cultural roots rivals that of any other traditional people the world over. For this reason, traditions that may have otherwise fallen by the wayside over the centuries are still alive and strong in the current Chinese culture and practice.

Chinese traditional medicine is among these ancient practices. Mysticism and religious beliefs with ancient origins are also still strong in everyday Chinese life. Among the practices common in Chinese rituals and rites are the use of amulets and talismans in every walk of life.

The Chinese amulet can take a variety of forms. Among the most common are those with Taoist roots. Taoism is a philosophical and religious practice that strongly influences Chinese fold religions. While Taoism is a common element of Eastern Asian cultures, the rural Chinese practices associated with Taoism have been able to develop somewhat independently from those found in other parts of Asia, due in large part to the Chinese government’s historical isolationism policies.

China’s folk Taoism still focuses on many of the traditional Taoist principals. Moderation, compassion, and humility are considered the Three Jewels of the Tao, also known as the path or way of life. Taoists emphasize the human relationship with nature and believe there is harmony and balance to achieve in living as a human in the natural world, through respect and reverence of the natural forces in everyday life.

These beliefs have led the Chinese people to commonly use amulets with religious or spiritual significance as decorative symbols in their homes. They also commonly wear these symbols as adornments and protective charms. They believe they promote a oneness with the universe and can provide beneficial spiritual presence in the life of the wearer.

Taoists also believe in the presence of ancestral spirits. The folk religions of the Chinese place specific importance on the worship or reverence of ancestors. They believe that the present generation draws its strength from their ancestors and that failure to properly revere one’s ancestral heritage brings about a disconnection with the harmony that is sought by all things in the universe. Chinese amulets play a strong roll in ancestral shrines and the rituals practiced in association with the shrines.

Chinese amulets can also be found in the practices of Chinese alchemy, astrology and traditional medicine. In each case, these amulets are believed to hold special significance for the wearer and help to solidify the connection between humans and the natural world, spiritual realm, or cosmic universe.

The use of amulets by everyday people in the practice of Feng Shui, the martial arts, and other traditional mechanisms of Chinese culture and religion is still commonplace.

When China reopened its doors to the Western world in the 1970s, the traditional and spiritual practices of the Chinese people began to slowly take hold in other parts of the globe. Though the migration of Chinese people to other parts of the world prior to the 1970s had brought these practices to light in other cultures to a certain extent, it wasn’t until the general policies on trading and cultural interaction began to change that many of these traditions became widely known outside of China.

As other people in the world began to discover the martial arts practices, Taoist-influenced folk traditions, and the spiritual and metaphysical practices of the Chinese people, traditional Chinese amulets became increasingly popular among non-Chinese throughout the world. They commonly appear in the homes of many non-Chinese the world over. They are frequently worn by peoples in various countries and have particularly found prominence in the Western world, where they were until just a few decades ago completely unknown to most.

The belief that amulets featuring traditional symbols from Chinese alchemy and astrology can influence the health, peace, and general well being of the wearer have made them a strong symbolic gift for many. The popularity of Feng Shui in home decorating and design in the Western world has also made the use of amulets common for inclusion in home decor.

China is indeed one culture rich country. One big part of their culture, believe it or not, are toys, just like here in America. Toys educate people about lessons in life, history and the arts. They are undoubtedly enjoyed by children and adults alike. They also symbolize China’s long and ancient history. Let’s talk about these age-old wonders.

Categories of Ancient Chinese Toys: Ornamental and Functional. Even with the rise of modern toy industries, ancient Chinese toys have been widespread all over the world, including America. Some of them have maintained their age-old simplicity and sometimes complexity. Others have changed their appearance with time. There are two categories of ancient Chinese toys. First category is ornamental toys, which are for adornment and beautification. These toys can be seen on people as an embellishment on clothing, and in homes such as lanterns. The second category falls under functional toys, which are for recreation. They serve their common function which is to be played with.

Moving on, let’s learn about the 4 main types of Chinese toys namely carved toys, sound-making toys, puzzles, and even those that are edible. These toys make an excellent tool for educating school children and even your friends about the rich and remarkable history of China.

1) Carved toys. These are just ornamental toys–carved toys are for decorations. They are sometimes shaped like animals such as dragons and lions, and other historical characters. Ancient artisans made them from natural materials such as bamboo, stones, roots, and nuts. Other similar artworks are porcelain and wax, painted eggshells, clay moldings, cloth and paper collages. In whatever way they are shaped or made, carved toys are truly objects of beauty.

2) Sound-making toys. These toys produce pleasing and rhythmic sounds. They are a great source of relaxation and entertainment. Among these toys are whistles made from porcelain, clay and bamboo, cymbals, bells, shaking-drums, and bamboo flutes. Sound-making toys and instruments are a vital part of traditional Chinese folk music.

3) Puzzles. Chinese gives great emphasis and importance in the development of one’s knowledge, so they came up with different puzzle games. The jigsaw puzzle and puzzle rings have both astounded and at the same time baffled Western mathematicians.

4) Edible Toys. These toys are among children’s favorites. They are made from flour and sugar which are their main raw materials for making edible toys. Just like any other toys, they come in different figures, shapes and sizes. Children take delight in playing and at the same time eating these wondrous treats.

The toys discussed above and many other Chinese toys have been with us for ages, and have been a part of our lives. They are great tools for introducing to people one of the earliest civilizations in the world which is China, and their unique and magnificent culture.

Playing with these ancient Chinese toys reconnects us with the past, and gives us absolute delight because of their uniqueness and amusing appeal. Fortunately, more and more American businesses today are starting to invest on these fun Chinese toys and have made them available for sale in retail and online stores.

Global sourcing effectively works due to infrastructure and skilled labor.

Global sourcing effectively works due to infrastructure and skilled labor. Without those two factors, the beneficial exchange rate would be far less useful to those looking to manufacture in India or China. However, luckily, there is an established infrastructure to allow businesses to take advantage of the exchange rate.

The fact that a multitude of manufacturing and labor related activities are possible in some countries around the world is for the following reason. A good deal of time, effort and money was put into the development of a given country’s infrastructure and labor pool. When one considers all that is needed to not just manufacture goods, but also bring those goods to market, it quickly becomes evident that global sourcing and manufacturing is not an accident. Power, an effective power grid, an internal distribution system of raw materials and finished products, as well as a mechanisms or access to international shipping and trade routes are all necessary components in the global sourcing and manufacturing equation.

Besides the ability to manufacture goods, a successful outsourcing relationship will also require access to a skilled and educated labor force. China and India have a wealth of educated and skilled workers ready to create for your company. These workers are not only well educated, they can generally speak English. Skilled workers are available in many different fields.

Global sourcing can save your business massive amounts of money. The infrastructure available and the skilled labor force will make your cost savings a real possibility. Since labor rates and exchange rates are often different in these countries, business owners can quickly secure an excellent deal that will save a great deal of money for their business. Outsourcing is often much more affordable than many other options.

The skilled labor pool of countries like China and India make it possible to source a wide variety of work, and not just manufacturing and call center oriented work. By being open to the scope of possibilities, many business and entrepreneurs will find that they may just have opportunities greater than they previously imagined.

The Chinese circus performances have continued to dazzle the world with their amazing showcase of different circus exhibitions throughout the ages. Because of this, they have been the subject of various western artworks, like paintings and drawings. This wonderful Chinese hallmark is truly impressive in its own way.

Even today, the Chinese circus is performed in its old traditional manner which is believed to date back to 3000 years ago. The Chinese circus troupe is known all over the world for their spectacular and breathtaking feats like acrobatics, balancing, martial arts, and other innate Chinese art forms. What’s interesting is that the costumes they wear for their performances are the same ones they have used since the 17th century. Every Chinese circus experience is truly wonderful and unforgettable.

Now let’s see what’s in store for you when you get to witness this marvelous Chinese performing art:

1. Contortion acrobatics. This act showcases the amazing ability of the human body to stretch, twist and reshape into different proportions you never thought was possible. The contortionists are highly trained; some of them even started training at the age of four. And their hiring process? No, not based on the number of twists and turns they can make, but based on their attractiveness. Now that’s what we call pleasing personality.

2. Multi-plate balancing. This act involves balancing and twirling a plate on top of a thin pole without it falling off. Now make that twenty plates, all while doing other stunts like dancing, contortion, and other acrobatic skills. You wouldn’t want that kind of set up for dinner.

3. Balancing acts featuring Chinese yo-yo. The performers do various circus acts all while using the Chinese yo-yo as part of the props. The Chinese yo-yo is another Chinese heritage that has been preserved for centuries.

4. Contact juggling. This unique type of juggling technique involves manipulating movements of props in contact with the body. This act has been performed in different circuses around the world, but no one does it as magnificently as the Chinese. Their performance is coupled with dramatic or comedic schemes.

5. Shaolin and kungfu exhibitions. Chinese kungfu and Shaolin masters showcase their amazing and breathtaking martial art skills you thought you will only see in the movies.

When the Chinese circus first started it was meant only for the members of the ruling classes or the imperial rulers. Today we are fortunate enough to be able to witness these spectacular shows. So if you want to be entertained and fascinated like never before, don’t miss the Chinese circus performances, or you’ll miss half of your life.

Just about everyone likes getting in good deal. In fact, many people live for those moments when they feel as though they have landed a simply unbelievable bargain. If you are interested in manufacturing in locations such as China, then global sourcing may be right for your business.

Due to exchange rates, it is quite possible to get fantastic deals through global sourcing on all sorts of goods and services. While many may associate global sourcing strictly with manufacturing, this is only one part of the story. Through global sourcing, it is possible for companies and entrepreneurs to make the most of the dollar’s buying power thanks to exchange rate differences. Further, countries such as China and India have large numbers of skilled individuals in virtually every field imaginable who speak English. No matter the field, there are likely skilled individuals that can be reached via outsourcing, and you can save substantially in the process.

Countries like China can offer businesses excellent and affordability manufactured goods, as well as a variety of services from skilled professionals in many fields. These skilled workers are often college educated and can generally speak English. Using outsourcing to fulfill various labor needs will save your business valuable money.

Could outsourcing to a country like China or India make your unachievable dream a new found reality? New global markets have forever changed the business world and its possibilities. Your impossible projects become more achievable through taking advantage of different labor pools.

Making the most out of differences in exchange rates within a global sourcing framework might very well mean the difference between actually launching your product or service and never having this ambition realized. By carefully evaluating your options and the possibilities, you too may be able to utilize the vast world of opportunities made possible by global sourcing and differences in exchange rates.

The botanical name Panax is given to the perennial plant with a fleshy root known as ginseng, the root is used to create a tea which is said to have many healing and energy-giving properties. These benefits are down to the natural chemicals inside the plant called ‘ginsenosides’.

The time and place of its origin is not entirely clear but it has been in use for over 5000 years. The ancient Chinese called it ‘Ren Shen’ meaning ‘all heal’ and placed great faith in its ability to cure all ailments. Ginseng was considered so valuable that it was bartered for silk and even prized above gold. Supplies of wild Ginseng became exhausted and it inevitably became commercially cultivated, however the wild variety still maintained an extremely higher value than the cultivated variety.

The root can be used fresh or dried for later use; it can be bought whole, sliced, in powder form or even in tea bags. A ginseng plant is grown for about 6 years before it is harvested. It is available in a variety of forms across the world and still consumed for medicinal value.

It has been scientifically proven that the tea has a natural ability to reinforce the immune system, which can prevent colds, flu and some forms of cancer. Ginseng also has the ability to help lower cholesterol and blood sugar which can help those suffering from type 2 diabetes.

Further tests proved that ginseng had the ability to relax the muscles of the lungs and airway which could reduce the symptoms of asthma, constriction of the airways and other lung diseases. Some studies have proven a link between the consumption of ginseng and an increase cognitive capacity; however this is not recognised as scientific research.

The drink does not just act as a cancer preventative but also assists in combating the side effects of cancer treatments such as chemotherapy. It has also been strongly proven to support any other cancer preventatives.

One of the better known effects of drinking the tea are those on libido, it can combat male problems such as erectile dysfunction. The contents of ginseng act on the central nervous system and the gonadal tissues to effect and improve libido.

You won’t find Ginseng tea getting served with paper cup lids or biodegradable cups as there is a traditional brewing and serving process.

Chris Paul, arguably the best point guard in the NBA, has chosen to return back to the land in which he won his first gold medal; China.

Many of us Americans believe that overseas basketball is a “joke” or some sort of lower level of basketball, however, these are not the beliefs of arguably the best active NBA point guard right now; Chris Paul.

Paul had said after the Olympic games that this experience struck an emotional chord with him. It looks like he’s backing up his words, as his decision to return to China backs up his feelings.

With tens of millions of basketball fans (many of them well immersed in the NBA due to Yao Ming’s success), Paul has a very large audience to reach out to while in China. His plan is to hold a clinic for a few days in early August in Guangzhou), and to then sponsor the launch of a brand new outdoor basketball complex in the Chinese city.

He will also be releasing his new line of Chinese shoes, which feature Chinese characters that represent his 106 consecutive games with a steal, and the night where he scored 61 points in a high school game to honor his recently murdered grandfather.

Yao Ming aside, no other NBA player has ever done what Paul is now doing in China. This gives the point guard a sort of iconic status there.

Since Chinese basketball figures are well on their way to surpassing those in the United States, this is a very smart move on Paul’s part. This will be both good for the league (which should attract more talent), and good for Paul (who should attract more fans).

This is a move that should lead others to do the same thing; and they’ll be right in doing so given China’s enormous size.

Jeremy Lambaszki is a basketball journalist with a focus on the Western Conference. He spends much of his time at RootZoo’s NBA basketball forum and regularly contributes sports trivia quizzes there as well.

If you are interested in learning about how humans lived in early civilization, a stop at the Banpo Museum on your Xi’an Tour should be on your itinerary. Banpo is an archaeological site first discovered in 1953 east of Xian in the Yellow River valley during construction of a power plant. It holds the remains of several Neolithic or New Stone Age settlements dating from approximately 4500 BC. Evolution from a hunter gatherer to a farming way of life is what defines the start of the Neolithic or New Stone Age. The Banpo settlements are associated with the Yanshao culture and are considered to be part of the Banpo phase from 5000 BC to 4000 BC of the Yangshao Neolithic culture. The Banpo Museum is located at the base of the excavation site of the Banpo Village. This museum is the first museum built on the actual site of a prehistoric archeological find in China.

Residents in Banpo lived in villages in clans or tribes. Agriculture, fishing and hunting were their main sources of food production. The clan dwellings was surrounded by a moat. Banpo culture is renowned for its fine painted potteries. Not only are the pottery wares of different kinds but they are also meticulous in craft and detailed patterns. The settlement excavation lasted four years and it was first opened for public viewing in 1958. Around four hundred sites of this settlement type have been discovered around the Yellow River Basin, and of these this Banpo site is the largest. The arrangement of the Neolithic village reveals an organized way of life and a good idea for Xian Tour.

The village has a living section of dwellings, a pottery manufacturing section and a community cemetery. Construction methods revealed characteristics of traditional Chinese wall-construction methods. The graves revealed they lived until they were about thirty years old. Their pottery kilns used both fine-grained and coarse clay to produce their distinctive painted pottery they are known for.

Xi’an Tour to the Banpo Museum showcase three exhibition halls and a model village. The first hall displays their tools, vessels and works of art. The second exhibition hall displays for auxiliary exhibitions about prehistoric cultures, arts, customs. Special shows are held there on ethnology, folklore and the history of art in the prehistoric period. Amongst the most striking items is a bottle with a pointed bottom used to collect water and a steamer made from pottery to cook food. Visitors can visit the site of pottery kilns where the people made their renowned pottery. The Banpo Clan Matriachal Village is a model village whose matriarchal theme has been called a tourist oddity by some tourist guides. On the other hand, some may want to see this model just for that reason.

Neolithic history in China

The Neolithics began cultivation and animal husbandry. They started the first settlements and the culture of cities in China. Major advancements took place to evolve civilization. During the Neolithic period, humans began making simple tools out of stone and wood, which marked major advances in human development of the period. Women were the main labor force of the community with responsibility for pottery making, weaving and taking care of the children, while the men were involved in cultivation and hunting. Villages were of different sizes. There were several cultures during the Neolithic era. It is now believed these cultures developed independently, creating distinctive kinds of architecture and types of burial customs; yet some communication and cultural exchanges between them did take place. A distinct artistic tradition can be traced to the Neolithic period. The Yangshao lived in the mountainous regions of northern and western China. They created painted pottery with geometric designs. Millet was the main crop of the Yangshao. They domesticated both dogs and pigs. The Neolithic period as a whole is seen as the culmination of technological development and cultural evolution by prehistoric humans.

The Neolithic period began in China about 12,000 B. C. However, solid settlement evidence has been found only from the period of 4,000 B. C., so far. New discoveries are still ongoing. The Neolithic age lasted until about 2,000 B. C. In China. It is defined by the spread of settled agricultural communities, although hunting and gathering was still practiced. Agriculture was practiced more in the southern part of the Yellow River where millet was the main crop. Although different cultures had different traits, it has been revealed that several 6000-5000 BC cultures in southern and northern China had shared traits such as an elevated economy based on rice cultivation.

Cultivation and livestock husbandry evolved during this period. The tools showed skillful craftsmanship. Dwellings became patterned and populations grew. Painted pottery was the precursor of more sophisticated painted pottery of later periods. An emerging class hierarchy was revealed in the use of pottery and jade. The eastern communities developed the pottery wheel in China.

The geography of China during this period was different from what it is today. It climate was more moist and it was warmer. China had lakes and marshes and the mountains were well forested with a variety of animals. Another aspect that distinguishes this period is the appearance of handicrafts such as wares made from pottery and jade and weaving. Pottery was decoratively painted with different colors and in different shapes. Clans were formed by people having the same kin and ancestors. And an animal or a plant was usually used as an identifier for each clan. Members of the same clan had the same status and belongings and worked together. The fruits of their labors divided equally by the head of the clan. In a clan, marriages had to follow strict stipulations. Silk production, for which China gained fame had already been invented before the commencement of this age. New discoveries from this age are revealing that the people made flutes from the hollow bones of birds, cultivated short grain rice, made millet noodles and produced alcohol from grain. The real stars of the museum are the Banpo people and what is revealed by their settlement. As recent Neolithic discoveries have revealed, these people played a part in the evolution of civilization in China. For this reason it is not surprising that the Banpo Museum in Xian is one of the most visited Xi’an Tours, in a city which has no shortage of fabulous sites to enthrall the tourist.

Are you wondering about Xian Tours you should consider paying a visit to Banpo Museum
