Romantic Florida vacation spots are nestled around Florida, sometimes in the most surprising places. While there are the traditional beach sunrises and sunsets (very romantic if the beach is deserted), you might wish to consider some more uncommon ideas. The type to make your beloved swoon and think you are the most romantic person there ever was.

Night Lights

Consider some night lights. I’m not talking about the big city now. No, I mean getting out of the cities, to a place where you can sip champagne and look at the magnificent night sky. And here’s a distinctive way to do this; rent a boat in the Florida Keys or Flamingo and put out to sea (so to speak) in Florida Bay. The sea is peaceful and you can float away from the bright lights and look up at the stars and the moon. And by the way, don’t forget to bring music!

Consider Lover’s Key

Lover’s Key; it’s more than just a name! It’s an island on Florida’s Southwest Gulf coast. Lover’s Key was originally named such for the reason that you couldn’t get there from the mainland unless you had a boat. Therefore, it was an, ahem, out-of-the-way site. Now a bridge connects Lover’s Key to the mainland, but it’s still a romantic vacation spot. Why not take the sunset eco-tour cruise and take pleasure in the sun’s final rays lingering on the horizon while you get a chance to see natural Florida. Or maybe you’d favor the morning dolphin tour and shelling excursion?

Wedding Bells

Is a romantic Florida wedding in your future? You’re possibly thinking one of the Florida Keys, right? There’s something more unusual to contemplate. I’m talking about a South Seas genuinely romantic marriage ceremony at Walt Disney World, at the Polynesian hotel. I know, Disney is beloved of honeymooners, but one doesn’t usually think of it as being romantic. Want an extraordinary wedding experience? Consider fairy tale nuptials at Cinderella’s Castle. Envision, fireworks going off when you take your first kiss as man and wife.

Resorts, Islands and Bed and Breakfasts

Daytona Beach has a number of fascinating ideas for romance; one is The Shores Resort and Spa, where there are quite a few couples packages. Take pleasure in champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, a moonlit seaside walk, breakfast in bed and spa treatments as well.

There are bed and breakfasts located round about Florida and many have out of the ordinary packages designed for a romantic holiday. One private rendezvous location is called Turtle Beach Inn. It’s appropriately located on Florida’s “Forgotten Coast” — the area from the Big Bend on the east to around Apalachicola on the west. It’s small, cozy and secluded, with miles of unspoiled shoreline.

Have you considered a resort on its own small island? Little Palm Island in the Florida Lower Keys is actually on its own island, with just 30 suites (28 of which are in thatch-roof bungalows). Little Palm has a five-day romance package that should make anyone swoon, what with champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, a steaming bath with rose petals…you get the idea.

Yes, we’re known as the Sunshine State and sometimes the Tourist State, but we should also be renowned for our wonderfully romantic Florida vacations.

The Florida Keys are tops for a Florida vacation (romantic or otherwise). For absolutely FREE information, check out some great Florida Keys vacation information (and pictures). Have a great Florida vacation!
